CLIMBING GOALS

I started keeping a written list of climbing goals in 1997 and can remember making mental lists as far back as 1992.  I think goals in general are an important way to have a purposeful life (i.e., balancing the long-term important with the short term urgent).  My top climbing goals that I have proudly completed are listed at the bottom of this page, preceded with a list of my lists of goals I keep for the fun of it.  Clearly I am making it harder on myself by not having any discernible focus to my efforts, but making and keeping lists is a source of pleasure.
